The Observatory
For larger gatherings and unforgettable celebrations, The Observatory offers a spacious and stylish private dining experience for up to 22 guests.
Set within our beautifully landscaped outdoor area, The Observatory is a striking enclosed pod that combines elegance, comfort, and flexibility. Whether you’re hosting a big family get-together, a milestone birthday, or a corporate event, this impressive space provides the perfect setting.
Fitted with heating and ambient lighting, The Observatory ensures a warm and inviting atmosphere whatever the season. Its generous layout and panoramic design make it ideal for dining, socialising, or marking a special occasion in style.

- A minimum of 12 adults is required to book. Maximum 22 adults.
- Each guest must order at least one main meal
- We cannot accommodate pets in the pod
- A non-refundable £50 hire fee applies, which is not redeemable against food or alcohol purchased
Posh Pod
For a dining experience with a touch of luxury, our fully enclosed posh pod offer the perfect setting for up to eight guests. Nestled in our outdoor space, this private pod provides a cozy and exclusive atmosphere for up to eight guests.
Designed for comfort and style, the posh pod are ideal for celebrating special occasions, intimate gatherings, or simply enjoying a unique meal with family and friends. Equipped with heating, they ensure a warm and inviting experience, whatever the weather, all year round.

Conservatory
Bright, airy, and full of charm, our conservatory at The Oak, Smannell, offers a dining experience that’s both stylish and relaxed. Seating 25 – 40 adults, and with large windows overlooking our beautifully landscaped garden, it’s the perfect space to enjoy a meal in a light-filled setting.
The conservatory is ideal for everything from meetings to special celebrations. Its spacious design also makes it the perfect choice for larger gatherings, including birthdays, baby showers, and family get-togethers.
Whether you’re having a meeting with your team or celebrating a milestone, the conservatory provides a welcoming space where great food and good company come together. The conservatory can be hired out exclusively for £200, Monday – Sunday, between 12:00 – 15:30, 16:00 – 19:00 and 19:30 – close.
Bar Area
